This has to be one of the nicest times of the year in the Western Cape - sunny days with a few rainy ones in between.
Our gardens are green after the winter rains, and gardens are becoming more colourful as we move from Spring to Summer.
Anyone fortunate enough to work with plants will tell you, “It’s Garden Day every day!” Although not the ‘put your feet up and sip bubbly’ type of Garden Day … rewarding none the less.
Landscapers have the good fortune of transforming barren building sites and home gardens to outdoor spaces filled with texture and colours that feed the senses, improving social and working experiences.
We recreate natural environments in our urban areas. Whether a riot of colour or tranquil grasses, formal or wild, a garden is a place to feel at peace, a place to ponder, a place to entertain - a place for all seasons and for all occasions.
However you spend Garden Day may you feel inspired by the plants and trees that surround you knowing that you have created not only a space for yourself and those close to you but a living legacy that will benefit future generations.
